Sources close to Asante Kotoko Management  indicate that Coach Prince Owusu has received strong backing from the management of the club to remain in charge as interim head coach until the end of the season.

The decision is understood to have been taken after internal discussions between the club’s hierarchy and key stakeholders, who are reportedly satisfied with the team’s recent performances and overall improvement under Owusu’s guidance. His work ethic, tactical approach and ability to steady the squad during a transitional period are said to have impressed the club’s leadership.

Owusu stepped into the role following changes within the technical department and has since overseen a series of crucial fixtures as the Porcupine Warriors push to finish the campaign strongly after their 1-0 loss to Hearts yet Maintaining him in the position is seen as a move to ensure continuity and avoid further disruption as the season enters its decisive phase.

An official announcement from the club is expected in due course.
