Morocco Conquers The Continent!
Host nation Morocco are the 2025 Africa Seniors Beach Volleyball Championships, which ended on Sunday, in Martil, Morocco.
Both the male and female teams of Morocco emerged champions and are set to represent the continent at the next volleyball World Cup in Australia, in November 2025.
Featuring two male teams in the competition, the two sides of same nationality, played in the finals with team A completing a 2-1 win over Team B to emerge champions.
The powerful pair of Al-Grooti and Saber managed to beat the veteran duo Elias and Al-Gharawi, in an all out Moroccan final.
It was an unprecedented moment in the history of Moroccan beach volleyball, with fans and dignitaries cheering both sides on.
In the women’s category, the Moroccan national team of women’s doubles has been crowned the African Beach Volleyball Women Championship after defeating Mozambique women’s national team in two groups to dominate the African Beach Volleyball Championship in the men’s and women’s category.
The 2025 Africa Seniors Beach Volleyball Championships, also served as the qualifiers for the Beach Volleyball World Cup in Australia in November.
