Parin FC Drop Crucial Points at Home in Thrilling Draw

0 3

League leaders Parin FC relinquished vital points in the ongoing Accra North District Football Association (ANDFA) Division Three League after being held to an entertaining draw by Talents FC at the Abelemkpe Astro Turf.

Heading into the fixture, Parin FC were keen to secure all three points to strengthen their grip on the शीर्ष spot. However, a resilient Talents FC side—widely regarded as one of the most formidable teams in the division—had other ideas.

Parin FC made a bright start, with Hafeez Alhasaan breaking the deadlock courtesy of a stunning free-kick that left the opposition goalkeeper with no chance. The lead, however, proved short-lived, as Muniru Tawfic responded swiftly to restore parity for Talents FC.

The first half unfolded as a closely contested affair, with both sides creating chances and displaying attacking intent. It ended honours even, with a goal apiece.

After the restart, Parin FC once again edged ahead, this time through Hamza Abubakar, who capitalised on a defensive lapse to slot home with ease. Yet Talents FC refused to back down and mounted another comeback. Kelvin Koba produced a moment of brilliance, executing a delightful lob that sailed over goalkeeper Kennedy Koranteng to level the scoreline once more.

Despite late efforts from both teams to snatch a winner, neither side could find the decisive goal, and the match concluded in a pulsating stalemate.

The result sees Parin FC temporarily surrender top spot to New Dove. However, they will have an immediate opportunity to reclaim their position when the two sides face off in a potentially title-defining encounter on Wednesday.
