Accra Lions Name Richard Afoakwa as Head Coach Ahead of New Season
Accra Lions Football Club is pleased to officially announce the appointment of Coach Richard Afoakwa ahead of the new season.
Speaking on his appointment, Afoakwa expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunity:
“I’m thrilled to join a club that places player development at the heart of its philosophy. This is a fantastic environment for growth, and I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success on the pitch.”
Coach Afoakwa holds a CAF B Licence and brings valuable experience from his previous roles with West African Football Academy (WAFA), Nsoatreman FC, and Inter Allies FC.
Club Chairman Oliver König welcomed the new addition, stating:
“We are absolutely delighted to have Richard Afoakwa on board for the upcoming campaign. We believe Richard is one of the most promising coaching talents in Ghana, and his arrival aligns perfectly with our long-term ambitions.”
Afoakwa is an alumnus of the University of Cape Coast, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education.
