Accra Sports Stadium to Host 2025 GHALCA Top Four After Venue Switch from Baba Yara
The Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), John Ansah, has announced that the Accra Sports Stadium will now host the upcoming GHALCA Top Four tournament.
Originally, the iconic Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi had been selected as the venue. However, the decision has been reversed due to the current poor condition of the facility.
The GHALCA Top Four is an off-season competition organised for the best-performing clubs from the previous season, providing an opportunity to test their strength ahead of the new campaign.
This year’s edition will feature league champions Bibiani GoldStars, Heart of Lions, and the two traditional giants, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
Speaking in an interview with GHOne TV, Mr Ansah confirmed that while the venue has changed, the dates remain the same.
“We are playing in Accra and the date stands. We will take the necessary steps to officially launch the programme, but for now, the Accra Sports Stadium is where we are playing,” he stated.
The 2025 GHALCA Top Four tournament will take place from 20–24 August 2025 in Accra.
