AFCON 2023: CAF bans lasers,smoke effects at stadiums
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has banned the use of lasers and smoke effects at the various stadiums during at the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The use of lasers and smoke effects at various stadia caused lots of disruption during games.
A statement from CAF said “The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Organizing Committee has banned the use of lasers and smoke effects in stadiums for all the games.”
In less than 24 hours, the continent will come together to exhibit its football prowess as all 24 nations would hope to clinch the coveted trophy and also earn the bragging rights.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled for January 13,2024 to February 11,2024.
