Ghanaian forward Daniel Afriyieh Barnieh made an immediate impact off the bench for FC Aarau, scoring a dramatic late equaliser despite his side eventually suffering a narrow 3–2 defeat to FC Vaduz.

Barnieh was introduced in the 83rd minute with Aarau reduced to 10 men and trailing by a goal. Just two minutes later, the former Black Satellites striker found the back of the net to restore parity, showcasing composure and sharp finishing under pressure. However, Aarau’s resistance was broken in the closing moments as FC Vaduz snatched a decisive late goal to secure victory.

Despite the setback, FC Aarau remain second on the league table, maintaining a strong position in the title race. Barnieh’s late contribution once again highlighted his growing influence within the squad and underlined his importance as the season progresses.

The Ghanaian attacker continues to impress with his work rate and eye for goal, raising optimism among Ghanaian football followers as he builds consistency in European football.
