Akonnor Named SportsPesa Premier League Coach of the Month

Gor Mahia head coach, CK Akonnor, has been adjudged Coach of the Month for October in the SportsPesa Premier League, following an impressive run of form that saw his side keep three consecutive clean sheets without conceding a single goal throughout the month.

The Ghanaian tactician, who previously managed the Black Stars, has been widely praised for instilling discipline, tactical organisation, and renewed confidence in the Kenyan giants. Under his guidance, Gor Mahia produced dominant displays, showcasing both defensive solidity and collective work ethic.

For his achievement, Akonnor received a cash prize of Sh75,000, equivalent to GH₵6,387.60.

The award adds to Akonnor’s growing reputation on the East African football scene as he continues to steer Gor Mahia towards a strong title challenge in the campaign.
