Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko SC have officially commenced their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and the upcoming Toyota Cup clash against South African side Kaizer Chiefs.

The club’s pre-season camp begins today, Sunday, 13th July 2025, with management directing all players—including newly signed recruits—to report to the team hotel to begin preparations in earnest.

According to a statement from the club, comprehensive medical assessments for all players will be conducted on Monday, 14th July 2025, prior to the commencement of full training sessions.

As part of their pre-season programme, the Porcupine Warriors will travel to South Africa later this month to participate in the prestigious Toyota Cup. They are scheduled to depart Ghana on Monday, 22nd July 2025, ahead of their highly anticipated encounter with Kaizer Chiefs.

Following their return from South Africa, Kotoko will continue their domestic preparations as they gear up for the start of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The early camping underscores the club’s commitment to a strong start in both domestic and continental competitions in the upcoming campaign.
