Haaland Scores 300th Career Goal as Man City Thrash Juventus in Club World Cup

Erling Haaland struck his 300th career goal as Manchester City comfortably defeated Juventus 5–2 in Orlando to secure top spot in Group G at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Norwegian forward came off the bench to tap home from close range, bringing his tally to 258 goals at club level and 42 for the Norwegian national team. His goal helped City avoid a potentially difficult quarter-final clash against either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich.

Jeremy Doku opened the scoring for the English champions, celebrating alongside Marmoush Omar, before Phil Foden and Savinho added to the tally. Juventus also gifted City a fourth goal via a bizarre own goal from Pierre Kalulu, while Dusan Vlahovic netted a late consolation for the Italian side.

One of the standout performers on the night was Rodri, who made his first start since September. The Spanish midfielder delivered a composed 65-minute performance, completing 71 passes and anchoring City’s midfield with authority.

Matheus Nunes continued to impress in an unfamiliar right-back role, playing a vital part in two of the goals, while Rayan Aït-Nouri made an impact on the opposite flank, showing great energy and registering his first assist for the club.

The victory sees Manchester City finish the group stage with a perfect record—three wins from three—and, importantly, ensures they avoid sharing a side of the knockout draw with European giants PSG and Bayern Munich. Depending on the outcome of Group H, Pep Guardiola’s side could face Real Madrid—now managed by former Liverpool and Bayern star Xabi Alonso—in the next round.
