Highly-rated Ghanaian coach Bismark Kobi Mensah will continue his coaching journey with Kenyan giants Gor Mahia after deciding against a move to Accra Hearts of Oak.

Despite recent speculation linking him with a role on the Hearts of Oak technical bench, sources close to the situation have confirmed that Kobi Mensah remains fully committed to the Kenyan Premier League outfit, where he serves as assistant coach.

The former Ghana youth coach has been an integral part of Gor Mahia’s technical team, contributing significantly to the club’s performances and ongoing development plans. His tactical expertise and experience in youth development have earned him widespread recognition both in Ghana and across East Africa.

Reports had suggested that Hearts of Oak were considering strengthening their technical structure ahead of the new season and had identified Kobi Mensah as a potential addition. However, the coach is understood to have opted to continue his project at Gor Mahia, where he remains highly valued by the club’s management.

His decision comes as Gor Mahia prepare for another demanding campaign, with ambitions of challenging for domestic honours and making a strong impression in continental competitions.

For Hearts of Oak, attention is expected to shift to alternative candidates as the club continues efforts to bolster its technical team in preparation for the upcoming season.

Kobi Mensah’s decision to stay in Kenya will be seen as a major boost for Gor Mahia, who are keen to maintain stability within their coaching setup as they pursue success on multiple fronts.
