The Ghana Boxing Federation has announced the official call-up of a selected group of elite athletes to join the national boxing team, the Black Bombers, for intensive training and preparation ahead of the 2025 AIBA World Boxing Championships, scheduled to take place in Liverpool, United Kingdom, in September.

This prestigious international tournament will gather top-tier boxing talent from across the globe, and Ghana is determined to make a strong impact on the world stage.

As such, this initial phase of training is crucial to shaping a formidable team capable of competing at the highest level and bringing pride to the nation.

The selected boxers are to report to the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra on Wednesday, 25th June 2025, at 6:00am sharp. Sessions will include rigorous physical conditioning, technical drills, tactical development, and sparring under the supervision of the national coaching team and support staff.

The Federation believes this early start to preparations will ensure that the athletes are in peak form, both mentally and physically, ahead of the global competition. The training camp will also offer opportunities for further assessment, team bonding, and refinement of individual techniques to meet international standards.

All called-up athletes are reminded to report on time and come fully prepared, as punctuality and discipline will be key factors in the selection process for the final squad.

Further details, including the full list of selected athletes and training schedules, will be communicated in due course.

Together, let us rally behind our boxers as they begin their journey to raise the Ghanaian flag high in Liverpool.
