BlackStars forward Raphael Dwamena has passed on after battling a heart attack during the Albanian first tier national football super league game between Egnatia and Partizani at the Hasan Zyla Stadium.
The former Levante man fell off unconscious in the 24th minute of the clash.
The 28-year-old, on series of occasions battled issues of heart attacks, having been cautioned by Doctors to bring a halt to his football career.
Dwamena featured in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which he bagged a brace against Ethiopia.
The Ghana Football Association, together with the football family have sent heartfelt condolences to the player’s family.
