The technical team of Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, paid a courtesy visit to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital on Monday, 16 February 2026, where they made a donation of an undisclosed amount to the hospital’s maternity ward.

The delegation was led by Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo and Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association. The visit formed part of the team’s corporate social responsibility efforts and provided an opportunity for the technical staff to interact with hospital personnel and new mothers on the ward.

Also present were Assistant Coaches Desmond Ofei, Kim Lars Björkegren and Alain Ravera, as well as Technical Advisor Winfried Schaefer. They were joined by Chief of Staff Michael Osekre and Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum.

On behalf of the technical team and the Ghana Football Association, Coach Addo presented the donation to support the upkeep of new mothers and their newborn babies. The gesture was warmly received by hospital authorities and staff, who expressed appreciation for the team’s thoughtful contribution.
