In a festive atmosphere, Bouchra Hajij, President of the African Volleyball Confederation, crowned Egypt’s U20 men’s volleyball team with the African Championship title after their well-deserved 3–0 victory over Cameroon in the final match, held at Dr. Hassan Mostafa Hall in Sixth of October City.

The Pharaohs’ youth secured the sets with scores of 25–20, 25–18, and 25–22, in front of an enthusiastic crowd and officials led by Eng. Yasser Qamar, President of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation, along with board members.
The Egyptian team delivered outstanding performances throughout the tournament, claiming the title without a single defeat. In the semifinals, they overcame Kenya with a 3–0 win to set up the final clash against Cameroon. Earlier, they advanced to the last four after a strong series of victories, defeating Rwanda (3–1), Algeria (3–0), Zimbabwe (3–0), and Uganda (3–2).
The Egyptian delegation was headed by Dr. Hamdy Nour El-Din, board member, while the technical staff was led by head coach Ahmed Samir, assisted by Mohamed Bakhit, with Percy Onken serving as general supervisor, alongside the medical and administrative staff.

The players representing Egypt in the tournament were: Ibrahim Adel, Youssef El-Rassas, Ahmed Youssef Gabal, Mazen Sherif, Mohamed El-Deqaq, Ahmed Reda, Khaled El-Feky, Malek Nour, Ahmed El-Behery, Hamza Yassin, El-Habib Ibrahim, and Hazem Kamal.

The championship featured eight national teams, with all matches played at Dr. Hassan Mostafa Sports Halls Complex in Sixth of October City. The Egyptian squad capitalized on home advantage and strong fan support to reaffirm their African dominance and lift the continental trophy.
