Breaking News: Chelsea Rule Out January Move for Antoine Semenyo

0 3

Chelsea have decided against pursuing a move for Ghana international Antoine Semenyo, effectively withdrawing from the race to sign the Bournemouth forward.

Sources close to the situation indicate that the Premier League side have concluded internal discussions and resolved not to activate Semenyo’s reported £65 million release clause, which is due to expire in early January. The decision follows a strategic review of Chelsea’s January transfer priorities, with the club opting to focus on other areas of the squad.

Semenyo, who has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers this season, has attracted interest from several top clubs after a series of impressive displays marked by pace, strength and versatility across the attacking line. Despite this, Chelsea’s recruitment team is understood to be satisfied with their current attacking options and is unwilling to enter a bidding war.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian remains under contract at Bournemouth, and the Cherries are keen to retain his services as they continue their Premier League campaign. While Chelsea have now stepped aside, interest from other clubs is expected to continue as the January transfer window approaches.
