Tottenham Hotspur Reach Agreement to Sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reached a full agreement with West Ham United for the signing of Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

The deal is believed to be worth approximately £55 million, a figure that falls short of the £65 million West Ham had initially demanded. Spurs had an earlier bid of £50 million rejected, and while it remains unclear whether the final fee includes performance-related add-ons, the total package has been deemed acceptable by both clubs.

Kudus is expected to sign a six-year contract, which would see him remain in north London for the entirety of what are likely to be the peak years of his career. Although his new wages have not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated that the 23-year-old will receive a substantial pay rise from his current £90,000-per-week salary at West Ham.

The move makes Kudus Tottenham’s second major signing of the summer, following the arrival of Japanese central defender Kota Takai. The club have also converted the loans of Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel into permanent transfers as manager Thomas Frank looks to reshape his squad ahead of the new campaign.

While Kudus arrives after a somewhat underwhelming 2024/25 season, Spurs are confident that his dribbling ability, technical flair, and positional versatility will make him a key figure under Frank’s leadership. The Ghanaian forward is seen as a vital addition who can offer dynamism across the attacking line.

The deal is expected to be finalised within the next 24 hours, with Kudus set to undergo a medical on Thursday before an official announcement is made.
