CAVB/AIPS Africa sign partnership agreement
The Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) and International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Africa, on Friday, June 27, signed a partnership agreement in Martil, Morocco.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the ongoing 2025 Africa Seniors Beach Volleyball Championships ongoing in Morocco.
The agreement was to enhance the visibility of African volleyball through professional, consistent, and constructive media coverage and provide support for official competitions (continental championships, international qualifiers, etc.) by coordinating the involvement of sports journalists who are members of AIPS Africa.
It is also to implement the training, awareness, and professional development initiatives for sports journalists and communicators.
Furthermore, the agreement would ensure joint media coverage of events organized by the CAVB and/or the FRMVB, priority accreditation and logistical support for AIPS Africa members covering volleyball competitions.
Also included is the organization of seminars, workshops, and master classes on sports journalism and communication during competitions enhancement of content, press releases, interviews, and reports to be shared across the communication platforms of the three parties.
And the creation of an award recognizing journalists who have contributed to the promotion of African volleyball.
Mrs. Bushra Hajij, President of the CAVB, said she was honored to have entered into the partnership with AIPs Africa.
She said the partnership would support the sports media and renew cooperation between them and the promotion of volleyball on the continent
Mrs. Hajij said the media has an important role in strengthening the status of sports in Africa, adding that both parties were committed to working together to develop appropriate formations, strengthening the status of sport in Africa as a catalyst for human and economic development, following the sublime royal policy of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
“The agreement also aims to keep up with the African journalism of sporting events in which African volleyball clubs and teams participate, to improve the work of sports media on the Black continent, and to keep up with digital and quality development that volleyball is witnessed and marketed globally,” she noted.

Mr. Morad Moutawakil, 1st Vice President of AIPS Africa, who represented the President Abdouaye Thiam, said they were of the central role that the media plays in promoting African sport, and were keen to to strengthen the ties between continental sports institutions and media professionals.
He said the AIPS Africa was eager to encourage high-quality media coverage of African volleyball through joint initiatives.
