Coach Didi Clears the Air on Alleged Feud with Hearts of Oak Supporter

Former Hearts of Oak coach, Didi Dramani, has dismissed reports suggesting a heated exchange between himself and a section of the club’s supporters, following the circulation of a video on social media that sparked widespread speculation.

Speaking to the media, Coach Didi described Hearts of Oak supporters in Dormaa as “very special” and clarified that there was no confrontation or banter between him and the supporter captured in the video.

According to him, the interaction was misunderstood due to the tone of his voice and the circumstances at the time.

“There was no banter between the supporter and myself, as purported in the video making the rounds,” he explained. “The supporter actually wished that I would remain at Hearts of Oak forever. I was simply trying to explain to him that, in a corporate and professional football environment, such arrangements are not always possible.”

Coach Didi further noted that the conversation was more of a motivational exchange than an argument, adding that fatigue from just retiring from a high-tempo match may have influenced how his tone was perceived by onlookers.

“It was more of a pep talk. However, because I had just come off a very demanding game, people may have mistaken my tone for banter or confrontation,” he added.

The experienced coach used the opportunity to commend Hearts of Oak supporters, particularly those in Dormaa, for their passion and unwavering loyalty to the club, while urging the public to avoid drawing conclusions from short video clips taken out of context.

The clarification is expected to put to rest rumours of any rift between Coach Didi and the Phobian faithful, reaffirming the cordial relationship he maintains with the club’s supporters.
