Top Rank Boxing Promotions in the United States of America has confirmed that, the fight between Isaac Royal Storm Dogboe and Robeisy Ramirez on April 1 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, will no longer carry the status of an interim title.

This follows the decision of WBO Featherweight title holder Emanuel ‘El Vaquero’ Navarrete to vacate the title and move up in weight.

“After closely analysing the situation with my team, we have decided to keep the WBO junior lightweight title.

“I feel very happy with the three title defences that I made at featherweight, but I am also convinced that my future is now at junior lightweight.

“We are going after the big fights at 130,” Navarrete said.

“I’m grateful for the support that I have always received from my promoter, Top Rank, and the WBO. I will now proudly carry and defend my junior lightweight belt,” Navarette said.

The fight was originally dubbed an interim title fight pending the decision of the Champion Navarrete.
