Accra Hearts of Oak have officially confirmed the promotion of Daniel Kodie from their youth side, Auroras FC, to the senior team’s technical set-up ahead of the forthcoming football season.
Kodie will assume the role of Assistant Welfare Manager, working alongside Henry Martey. This appointment marks another significant milestone in his long-standing association with the club.
A true Phobian at heart, Kodie initially joined Hearts of Oak as a promising young footballer. Unfortunately, his playing career was cut short by injury. The club, demonstrating its commitment to his well-being, fully funded his surgery in South Africa.
Undeterred by the setback, Kodie’s passion for football and deep loyalty to the club led him to remain involved behind the scenes. He was subsequently assigned to Auroras FC, where he served dutifully as Assistant Welfare Manager. In addition to his welfare responsibilities, he actively supported the technical team, offering valuable football knowledge and tactical insights that contributed to the development of young talents.
