Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has stated that it is a big plus for the club to have its player Benjamin Asare starring in Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars.
He said this at a presser ahead of Hearts of Oak’s game against city rivals Accra Great Olympics in this year’s Democracy Cup that is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 5 at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Hearts’ goalkeeper Benjamin Asare is expected to start in goal in the Black Stars 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification games Chad and Mali on September 4 and 8 respectively and Didi Dramani believes that having Asare produce at the national team level is a big plus for the club.

“We prepared Benjamin [Asare] to the best that we can to have that production to the national team and that’s a big plus for the club” he said.

Asare is one of three goalkeepers who have made the trip with the Black Stars to play Chad in N’Djamena.
