Egypt’s Youth Volleyball Team Qualifies for the African Championship Quarterfinals After Defeating Algeria

Egypt’s youth volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the African Youth Championship, held at Dr. Hassan Mostafa Hall in Sixth of October City, after securing a convincing victory over Algeria with a straight-set win in the second round of the group stage.

The set scores were as follows: (25/22), (25/21), (25/14). The “Pharaohs of Volleyball” continued their winning streak, having previously defeated Zimbabwe in the opening match with a clean 3–0 score, before overcoming Uganda 3–1.

With this triumph, the Egyptian team confirmed their place at the top of Group A with maximum points, underlining their readiness to compete for the African title. The championship features eight national teams: Egypt, Algeria, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Cameroon, Kenya, Morocco, and Rwanda.

The Egyptian delegation is headed by Dr. Hamdy Nour El-Din, a board member of the federation. The technical staff includes Percy Onken (General Supervisor), Ahmed Samir (Head Coach), Mohamed Bekhit (Assistant Coach), Ahmed Medhat

 

(Performance Analyst), Dr. Mohamed Younes (Team Doctor), Sameh Nour (Rehabilitation Specialist), and Mohamed Ramadan (Team Manager).

The squad consists of 12 promising players: Ibrahim Adel, Youssef Al-Rasas, Ahmed Youssef Gabal, Mazen Sherif, Mohamed Al-Daqqaq, Ahmed Reda, Khaled Al-Feki, Malek Nour, Ahmed Al-Bahiry, Hamza Yassin, Al-Habib Ibrahim, and Hazem Kamal.
