Fans of Bayern Munich wanted to get rid of Sadio Mane-Agent

Sadio Mane’s agent Bacara Cisse says the player’s move from German side, Bayern Munich to Al Nassr FC was championed by fans of the club.

Mane’s struggle at the club began after he was involved in a serious fight with team-mate Leroy Sane following a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League which led to his exit in August 2023.

Addressing the issue, Mr. Cisse said the decision by the club was not based on football-related issues but a form of hatred towards him.

‘It wasn’t a footballing decision to sell him, Sadio’s salary bothered the Germans, they didn’t understand how an African joins the club and becomes the top earner ahead of everyone, so they wanted to get rid of him.”

He said Bayern Munich never had any interaction with the player’s representatives but went ahead to task then Head Coach, Thomas Tuchel to make him a third-choice left winger, which he was made aware.

“They first leaked to the media they were ready to sell him for €20m (£17.3m). But after he returned to training and they saw he was doing well, they raised the price to €30m (£25.9m),” he revealed.

He said the player was not interested in the amount he would be receiving but committed to help the club to progress.

Sadio Mane scored 12 goals in 38 competitive matches for the German Side as he managed to help them win the Bundesliga title and the German Super Cup.
