Four Malian referees to officiate Ghana, Zambia Olympic qualifier clash
Malian referee Bagayoko Teneba and three others have been appointed to officiate the first leg encounter of the Women’s Olympic qualifying clash between Ghana’s Black Queens and the Copper Queens of Zambia.
The clash, scheduled for Friday, February 23,2024 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi is the first leg of the third round qualifying process.
Kone Fanta Idrissa, Coulibaly Mariami Assume, and Diarra Aissata would serve as assistants to help in the smooth officiating of the games.
Alongside the referees, Ruth David from Nigeria gets the nod as the Match Commissioner while Mezing Agar of Cameroon plays the role of Referee Assessor.
The Ghanaian side eliminated Guinea and Benin in the first and second rounds respectively and are hopeful of beating a tough Zambian side to sail through.
The Paris Olympic Games is slated for Friday July 26, 2024 to Sunday August 11,2024.
