UK-based Ghanaian boxer Freezy Macbones has dismissed allegations of foul play following his recent bout against Worldwide, a contest that ended with him losing the WBA Africa Light-Heavyweight title.

The judges awarded the fight to Worldwide by scores of 80–73, 78–74 and 77–75, a decision that has sparked debate among boxing enthusiasts.

Speaking on Maakye Sports on Onua TV on Tuesday, December 23, Freezy maintained that he believed he had done enough to win the contest but stated that he respects the authority of the officials.

“I did nothing wrong,” he said. “The referee even spoke to Jonathan Tetteh before he went down. Everyone knows who truly won the fight. If small incidents influenced the outcome, I have no issue with that.”

Despite his disappointment, the Ghanaian boxer stressed that he bears no grudges and has left the final judgement to the public.

Freezy Macbones also revealed that he is open to a rematch and confirmed his readiness to face Worldwide again, regardless of where the bout is staged.

The outcome of the fight continues to generate discussion within Ghana’s boxing fraternity, with many fans divided over the judges’ decision.
