GFA Officially Confirms Dates for 2025/26 Ghana Premier League Season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced the full matchday calendar for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, confirming that the league will kick off on the weekend of 12th–15th September 2025 and conclude on 23rd–24th May 2026.

 

The schedule, comprising 34 matchdays, has been carefully structured to avoid any conflict with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which takes place from 11th June to 19th July 2026.

 

📅 Key Fixture Dates:

Opening weekend: Matchday 1 will be held from 12th to 15th September 2025.

 

The league continues with weekly fixtures, including international breaks and short recess periods, particularly during the festive season.

 

The final round of matches (Matchday 34) is set for 23rd–24th May 2026, ensuring that the domestic season concludes well ahead of the global tournament in June.
