The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has extended warm Christmas greetings to members of the Association, distinguished stakeholders and the general public, while calling for unity, reflection and renewed commitment to the development of Ghana football.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the GFA Executive Council and in his personal capacity, Mr Simeon-Okraku described Christmas as a season that embodies the values of love, sacrifice, unity and hope—principles he said are central not only to faith and culture but also to the spirit of football.

He noted that football continues to serve as a powerful unifying force in Ghana, transcending backgrounds, beliefs and generations, and urged stakeholders to uphold these shared values both on and off the field.

Reflecting on the significance of the birth of Christ, the GFA President expressed gratitude to clubs, players, coaches, referees, administrators, sponsors, media partners and supporters for their commitment, resilience and belief in Ghana football throughout the year. He acknowledged that their sacrifices and passion have played a vital role in sustaining and growing the game.

Mr Simeon-Okraku observed that the past year had presented both challenges and progress for Ghana football but assured stakeholders that the Association remained focused on strengthening its foundations, improving governance, developing talent and restoring confidence in the football ecosystem.

Looking ahead, he expressed optimism for the future, emphasising the need for collective responsibility, determination and cooperation to achieve sustained success.

He encouraged all Ghanaians to use the festive season to reconnect with their families, show kindness to one another and reaffirm their commitment to unity and fair play.

Mr Simeon-Okraku concluded by wishing peace to homes, joy to hearts and hope for a brighter year ahead, extending his best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all Ghanaians, while invoking God’s blessings on Ghana football and the nation.
