Ghanaian international Majeed Ashimeru Rejects Alanyaspor Offer Amid Summer Exit Talks

Ghanaian international Majeed Ashimeru has rejected a proposed move to Turkish Süper Lig side Alanyaspor, after deeming the offer on the table as financially and professionally unsatisfactory.

According to close sources, the 26-year-old midfielder believes he still has more to offer at a higher level and is not in a rush to commit to a club that does not meet his valuation or career ambitions. Ashimeru, who is currently on the books of Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht, is entering the final year of his contract and is expected to leave the club this summer as part of a broader squad overhaul.

RSC Anderlecht are reportedly willing to offload the former Red Bull Salzburg man for the right price, as he is not seen as a central part of manager Brian Riemer’s plans for the 2025/26 campaign. The club has already received several enquiries from across Europe and the Middle East, and negotiations are ongoing.

Ashimeru has made over 80 appearances for Anderlecht since joining in 2021 and has also featured for Ghana at international level, including during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. With his blend of composure, passing ability and defensive awareness, he remains a sought-after option for clubs seeking midfield reinforcements.

Further developments are expected in the coming weeks as the summer transfer window progresses.
