GHANAIAN WINGER CHRISTOPHER BONSU BAAH POISED FOR LUCRATIVE MOVE TO SAUDI ARABIA
Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah is on the verge of completing a high-profile move to Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah FC, in what is expected to be one of KRC Genk’s most lucrative outgoing transfers in recent years, Joy Sports has learned.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Belgian club from Norwegian outfit Sarpsborg two years ago, has attracted strong interest from Al Qadsiah, with negotiations reportedly at an advanced stage.
Although the deal is yet to be finalised, Joy Sports understands that Bonsu Baah is likely to feature in the Saudi top flight next season. He is expected to travel to Saudi Arabia within the next 24 hours to complete the transfer.
While the exact transfer fee remains undisclosed, sources indicate that Genk stand to receive a substantial sum—well in excess of the €5.2 million they paid for the player in 2023.
Bonsu Baah, who is under contract at Genk until the summer of 2028, has established himself as a key figure within the squad. Over the past two seasons, he has made 90 appearances in all competitions, contributing five goals and seven assists for the Limburg-based club.
