Accra Hearts of Oak kicked off their pre-season campaign in emphatic fashion, recording a dominant 7–1 win over Mamprobi Afa in a friendly encounter at the club’s Kpobiman training complex on Saturday morning.

The match was played in three sessions of 40 minutes each, allowing both technical teams to thoroughly assess their squads and experiment with different tactical setups.

From the outset, the Phobians asserted their dominance with confident passing, fluid movement, and incisive attacking play. Their early superiority produced two well-taken goals before Mamprobi Afa responded with a consolation, ending the first period 2–1 in favour of Hearts.

The second session saw Hearts of Oak elevate their performance, completely dictating the pace of the game and adding four more goals. Assistant coach Abdul Gazale was visibly active on the touchline, directing the players, while head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani offered strategic instructions from the bench.

The final period proved more competitive, with both teams showcasing flashes of creativity and testing each other across the pitch. However, the Phobians capped off the display with a final goal, much to the delight of fans in attendance, who appeared pleased with the evolving tactical identity being introduced by Coach Didi.

The match concluded with a resounding 7–1 win for Hearts of Oak — a clear statement of intent as they continue preparations for the 2025/26 season.

Speaking to Hearts TV after the match, Coach Didi shared his reflections: “I’m very encouraged by what I saw today. The players are beginning to grasp the principles we’re trying to implement. It’s still early days, and there’s more work ahead, but the attitude and commitment were excellent.”

The Phobians are expected to continue their pre-season schedule in the coming days as they build momentum for the upcoming campaign.
