Hearts of Oak Secure Rising Star Zaid Suraj on Long-Term Deal
Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed the signing of highly-rated teenage midfielder Zaid Suraj ahead of the 2025–26 season.
The 16-year-old prodigy, who previously played for third-tier side Cheetah FC, has signed a three-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year. He completed and passed his medical examination earlier today in Accra.

Suraj is widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most promising young talents, noted for his vision, creativity, and technical skill in midfield. His move to Hearts of Oak marks a significant step in his budding career, and he is expected to play a vital role in head coach Didi Dramani’s long-term plans for the club.
The Phobians are determined to develop his potential by gradually introducing him to top-flight football, as part of their strategy to build a formidable team for the future.
Zaid Suraj becomes Hearts of Oak’s fifth signing of the transfer window, following the acquisitions of Prince Kwabena Owusu, Francis Duku, Baba Adamu, and Ali Mohammed.
