Accra Hearts of Oak maintained their fine pre-season form with a convincing 3-0 victory over Tudu Mighty Jets in a friendly encounter at the Kpobiman Training Complex on Saturday morning.

The match was contested over two halves of 60 minutes, giving the technical team ample opportunity to evaluate the squad and refine tactical plans ahead of forthcoming competitions.

The Phobians made a bright start, dictating the tempo and applying relentless pressure high up the pitch. Their early dominance was rewarded when a trialist (name withheld) stepped up to curl a superb free-kick into the net, breaking the deadlock and ensuring Hearts went into the interval with a slender lead.

The second half saw Hearts tighten their grip on proceedings, controlling possession and probing for further openings. Their persistence bore fruit when centre-back Ali Mohammed kept his composure from the penalty spot to double the advantage.

The standout moment of the match came courtesy of another trialist (name withheld), who embarked on a dazzling solo run, gliding past four Mighty Jets defenders before coolly slotting home to seal the victory.

The 3-0 scoreline reflected Hearts of Oak’s growing cohesion and confidence under their evolving tactical set-up. Preparations now shift focus to the Homowo Cup and the GHALCA Top Four Tournament.
