Juliana Storey Re-elected as President of Rugby League Federation Ghana to Lead Next Phase of Growth

The Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) has re-elected Juliana Storey as President, entrusting her with a renewed mandate to lead the sport through its next phase of expansion and development.

Storey’s re-election marks a vote of confidence in her visionary leadership, which has been instrumental in transforming rugby league into one of Ghana’s fastest-growing sports. Her presidency signals a continued era of strategic growth, grassroots engagement, and international collaboration.

An accomplished education consultant, Storey has steered the federation to notable milestones during her first term. These include:

  • A significant increase in grassroots participation

  • Successful nationwide tournaments

  • Extensive coaching and officiating certification programmes

Under her leadership, the RLFG has also forged partnerships with both local institutions and international bodies, creating a solid infrastructure for long-term development.

In her acceptance speech, Storey said:

“This is a moment of renewed purpose. Rugby league in Ghana has come a long way, but there is much more ahead. Together with the newly elected board, I am committed to growing the game, developing our youth, and taking Ghana to the world stage.”

The newly constituted RLFG board comprises a diverse group of professionals with expertise in education, finance, corporate leadership, and sports management. Notable members include:

  • Rob Oram – Treasurer
