Former Ghana international defender Masahudu Alhassan has taken a significant step towards building a career in management after successfully completing his UEFA Licence C coaching course. The 32-year-old is now preparing to enrol for the UEFA Licence B badge as he continues his progression through the professional coaching pathway.

Alhassan, who made his senior debut for the Black Stars in 2012, earned eight international caps and was part of Ghana’s squad at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, where the team reached the semi-finals.

At club level, the versatile left-back began his European career with Udinese before joining Genoa in Serie A. He later featured for Novara and Perugia, gaining valuable experience in both the Italian top flight and Serie B. Alhassan also broadened his career abroad with stints in Finland, playing for TPS Turku and Jazz Pori.

Now shifting focus from playing to coaching, Alhassan is eager to impart his knowledge to the next generation. His decision to pursue UEFA coaching badges highlights his commitment to personal development and to contributing to football both in Ghana and abroad.
