Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has given the clearest indication yet of a possible move, as speculation over a transfer away from West Ham United continues to mount.

The Black Stars playmaker has joined a new representation agency, ROOF (Representatives of Outstanding Footballers), signalling a potentially pivotal moment in his transfer situation.

According to Sun Sports journalist Rahman Osman, who broke the news on Monday, 23rd June, Kudus’ agency switch comes just ahead of a crucial transfer window.

The West Ham star has a 10-day release clause period, which becomes active from 1st to 10th July. During this time, any Premier League club interested in securing his services must pay a release clause of £85 million. In contrast, clubs in the Saudi Pro League would need to meet a significantly higher clause of £125 million.

ROOF represents several top-tier footballers, including Virgil van Dijk, Kai Havertz, Serge Gnabry and Marc-André ter Stegen. Van Dijk recently signed a lucrative deal with Liverpool, reportedly worth up to £400,000 per week over two years.

Kudus, 24, recently completed his second season with West Ham United and once again topped the Premier League chart for the most completed dribbles. During the 2024/25 season, he registered five goals and three assists across 35 appearances in all competitions.
