The mortal remains of Ghana international Christian Atsu Twasam will arrive at the Kotoko International at 7:40 PM Sunday, 19 February, 2023.
The Ghanaian was confirmed dead on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Turkey after the earthquake which struck the country on the dawn of February 6, 2023.
The 31-year-old got missing after the earthquake but his lifeless body was found under the rubbles on Saturday after 11 days of the incident.
Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced that the mortal remains of the late player will arrive today in the company of Atsu’s family and Ghana’s Ambassador to Turkey in a Turkish Airline.
The Ghana Football Association together with the Government of Ghana and close family to be at the Airport to receive the body for burial.
