The highly anticipated permanent transfer of star striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli to Galatasaray has been completed, with the Nigerian international set to undergo his medical on Thursday, July 31.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, all necessary paperwork for the €75 million deal has been finalized between the two clubs.

Osimhen is expected to arrive in Istanbul this evening (Wednesday, July 30) ahead of his medical examinations and the official signing of his contract.

The city is a familiar one for the prolific forward, who spent the last season on loan with Galatasaray. During his loan spell, he was instrumental in the club’s success, netting an impressive 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 competitive appearances.

The desire for a permanent move to Galatasaray was strong for Osimhen, who reportedly turned down more lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal to secure his return to the Turkish champions.

Napoli, meanwhile, remained steadfast on their valuation, demanding the full €75 million figure, which, while not a direct activation of a release clause, reflected their firm stance on the player’s value.

Galatasaray has agreed to a payment structure that includes an upfront sum of €40 million, with the remaining €35 million to be paid by the end of 2026.

Reports also suggest that Napoli will be entitled to up to €5 million in bonuses and will retain a 10 percent sell-on clause for any future transfer of Osimhen.

Crucially, the agreement also includes an “anti-Serie A clause,” which will prevent Osimhen from joining any of Napoli’s direct competitors in Italy for the next two years.

While the initial agreement for the transfer was reached on July 20, the finalization of financial guarantees, including signed and counter-signed documents, has only just been completed.
