Nations FC Confirm Relegation After Painful End to Ghana Premier League Campaign

Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, Nations FC have officially confirmed their relegation to Division One after a disappointing campaign that ended in heartbreak for the club and its supporters.

In an emotional statement released after the final round of fixtures, the club expressed deep regret over their inability to preserve their top-flight status, describing the outcome as “a very painful moment” for everyone associated with the side.

The club extended a sincere apology to its loyal supporters, sponsors, partners and stakeholders, admitting that the team failed to meet expectations despite the commitment and effort shown throughout the season.

“We take full responsibility for this outcome,” the statement read. “Despite the effort and commitment shown, it was not enough to keep our place in the league.”

The relegation brings a difficult chapter to an end for Nations FC, whose season was plagued by inconsistency and missed opportunities at crucial stages of the campaign. Supporters had hoped the club would survive the drop, but results on the final day confirmed their fate.

Despite the setback, the club remains determined to bounce back stronger. Management has vowed to regroup, rebuild and fight tirelessly to secure an immediate return to the Ghana Premier League.

“But this is not the end of our story,” the statement continued. “We will regroup, fight, and work tirelessly to bring Nations FC back to where it belongs.”

The coming months are expected to be crucial for the club as they begin preparations for life in Division One while aiming to restore pride and rebuild confidence ahead of the new season.
