OFFICIAL: Asante Kotoko Appoints Onyina Asenso and Two Others to Strengthen Management Team

Ghanaian football powerhouse Asante Kotoko SC has officially announced the appointment of three experienced professionals to bolster its administrative structure ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

 

In a statement released by the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), the Kumasi-based giants have confirmed the addition of Charles Kweku Hammond, Onyina Asenso, and former National Circles Council (NCC) chairman Christopher Demanya to key roles within the club.

Additionally, Emmanuel Akwasi Kusi has been appointed as the Assistant Coach of the club’s youth team, as part of Kotoko’s long-term strategy to invest in youth development.

 

Official Appointments:

Charles Kweku Hammond – Marketing and Brands Manager

Hammond joins Kotoko with rich expertise in marketing and brand strategy. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. His new role will involve boosting the club’s brand visibility, driving fan engagement, and overseeing marketing activities across digital and traditional media platforms.

 

Onyina Asenso – Corporate and External Affairs Manager

The former Legon Cities administrator, Asenso, holds an MA in Public Administration, Governance, and Leadership from GIMPA. He is expected to lead all external relations and corporate engagements, strengthening ties with sponsors, government bodies, and the wider football community.

 

Christopher Demanya – Director of Operations

Demanya, a respected figure among the club’s supporters, will coordinate internal operations and support strategic planning. His appointment is aimed at improving communication between departments and ensuring operational excellence at all levels of the club.

 

Emmanuel Akwasi Kusi – Assistant Coach, Youth Team

A passionate youth developer, Kusi brings years of experience in nurturing emerging football talent. He will work closely with the youth coaching staff to develop future stars for the senior team.
