Ghana Premier League side Karela United have completed the signing of former Accra Lions captain Issah Ibrahim on a permanent deal, the club confirmed on Friday.

The 21-year-old right-back becomes the latest addition in Karela’s squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 season, as they seek to strengthen their defensive options.

Ibrahim featured in 24 league matches for Accra Lions during the 2024/25 campaign. Despite his consistent performances, he was unable to help the team avoid relegation.

Known for his pace and composure on the flank, Ibrahim is expected to bring depth and healthy competition to Karela’s backline as they aim for a stronger finish in the upcoming season.

The financial terms and duration of the contract were not disclosed.
