Libyan Premier League club Al Ittihad Misurata have officially unveiled Ghanaian midfielder Richmond Lamptey, who has joined the side on a one-year contract.

The 28-year-old midfielder makes the move from APR FC of Rwanda, where he played a pivotal role in their domestic campaign last season. Lamptey, who is well known for his creativity, passing range and work rate in midfield, is expected to bring experience and dynamism to Al Ittihad’s squad as they prepare for both domestic and continental competitions.

Lamptey has previously featured for clubs including WAFA SC, Inter Allies, and Asante Kotoko, where he won the Ghana Premier League title. His switch to Libya marks another step in his professional career as he seeks to make an impact in North African football.

Al Ittihad Misurata expressed confidence that Lamptey’s arrival will strengthen their midfield options and provide added depth as they aim for a strong showing in the upcoming season.
