Prince Kwabena Owusu Set to Join Hearts of Oak After Completing Medical

Accra Hearts of Oak are on the verge of announcing Prince Kwabena Owusu as their latest signing, following the successful completion of his medical assessment.

The former Bibiani Gold Stars forward is expected to sign a lomg term contract, with the agreement between both parties fully concluded.

Owusu, 26, parted ways with Gold Stars at the end of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season after an impressive spell in the top flight. Known for his pace, hold-up play and eye for goal, he was a standout performer for the Miners, contributing 8 goals and 4 assists in all competitions last season.

The highly-rated striker is expected to add firepower to Hearts of Oak’s attacking line, which struggled for consistency in the previous campaign. The Phobians have been keen to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season under new head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and Owusu’s acquisition is seen as a significant step in that direction.

His arrival is part of the club’s wider rebuilding strategy aimed at returning to the top echelons of Ghanaian football after a disappointing league finish.

Hearts of Oak are expected to officially unveil Prince Kwabena Owusu alongside other new signings soon.
