The Ghana U19 national team bounced back strongly with a 2-1 win over FC Basel U19 in their second international friendly played at the Nachwuchs Campus in Switzerland.

After falling 3-1 to FC Basel U21 in their opening match earlier this week, the young Black Starlets responded with a much-improved display against their age-mates with the hard-fought victory, with the team showing greater cohesion, tactical discipline, and fighting spirit throughout the encounter.

The match formed part of Ghana’s European training tour aimed at giving the players international exposure and preparing them for future competitive assignments. The coaching team expressed satisfaction with the performance and noted key improvements in teamwork and finishing.

The Ghana Football Association has lined up additional friendlies as part of the tour, with the team expected to continue its development against other top youth sides on the continent.
