The rise of Asante Kotoko midfield Dynamo Justice Blay

39

Justice Blay was born in Sekondi but raised at Inchaban. He Started his football career with a division team called Telecom Babies (Inchaban Royals FC). When Sekondi Eleven Wise was in first division, they showed interest in signing the midfield Dynamo. Because of how excellent Justice Blay was, many premier league teams started initiating steps to acquire his signature.

Justice Blay later joined Sekondi Hasaacas, played some few seasons and proceeded to Medeama Sporting Club. His first season with Medeama Sc was very wonderful and splendid. Coach CK Akunnor handed Justice Blay his debute call up into the black Stars team when Ghana defeated Sao Tome by 3-1. He had previously received a call up into the Ghana Blackstars B team.

Justice Blay spent the 2019/2020 season on loan at Kotoko where he became fans favourite following his terrifying performances. Blay played 17 matches in all competitions in that season and scored twice including the first goal when Kotoko beat bitterest rivals 2-1 in the league in Accra. He had some difficult set backs due to injury.

In 2020 summer, Justice Blay reverted from Kotoko to Medeama after the expiration of his loan contract. Blay had assured Asante fans that he will definitely come back to Kotoko. He was set to pick his form to it’s peak but injury set in and he was sidelined for months.

Asante Kotoko finally signed their long term target, Justice Blay on two year contract in January 2022.
