Twellium Ghana Limited, a leading player in the food and beverage industry, has presented cartons of Verna Mineral Water and energy drinks to Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club and Accra Great Olympics Football Club.

The donation comes ahead of the much-anticipated Democracy Cup clash between the two traditional rivals, scheduled for 5 September at the Legon Sports Stadium.

The Democracy Cup, an annual football competition initiated last year by the Speaker of Parliament on behalf of Parliament, aims to foster national unity and promote support for Ghana’s Constitution and democratic values.

During the presentation held at Hearts of Oak’s training grounds in Pobiman, Head Coach Massoud Didi Dramani expressed appreciation to the Speaker and Parliament for the initiative. He also described the competition as an ideal warm-up for the new season.

“Hearts are preparing intensively for the league, and the Democracy Cup will serve as an excellent test for us. We are confident of winning it,” Dramani declared.

At the Great Olympics camp at La Town Park, Coach Sulley Adamu expressed equal determination, insisting his side would spring a surprise against their arch-rivals. He also extended gratitude to Verna Water and Twellium for their support.

Priscilla Awumey, Corporate Marketing and Business Development Officer at Twellium Industries, reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting the two clubs and ensuring the success of the competition in honour of democracy.
