“We are ready for the world” – CAVB President

Mrs Bouchra Hajij President of the Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) has said, the continent is ready to face world after successfully hosting the 2025 Africa Seniors  Beach Volleyball Championships in Morocco.

Mrs. Hajij said this after successfully hosting the championships in Martil, Mororcco, from June 23-30.

She said, the technical abilities displayed by the players in the competition was a clear demonstration of their preparedness to meet the challenges at the world level.

“I am proud of all the teams that played in the competition. They exhibited high level of techniques.

“The standards were high and I am looking forward to an improved performance at the world level”, she added.

According to Mrs. Hajij, the countries that have qualified for the World Cup in Australia would be given the needed support to excel at the competition.

The CAVB President, said the Paris Olympic Games in 2024 saw a great improvement in the quality of play from African sides especially Morocco adding that the plan was to improve after every event.

 

She commended the under-21 sides that played at the competition saying “ we have a lot talents coming up after the seniors”.

Commenting on the future, Mrs. Hajij said, the focus would now be on the Youth Olympics to be hosted by Dakar.

“We are going to prepare our players who are under-18 for the Youth Olympics. That is where the future belongs and we would give them much attention,” she added.

Morocco won both male and female categories of the championships after six days of pure display of skills and strength.
