West Ham Reject Tottenham’s £50m Bid for Mohammed Kudus Amid Transfer Tug-of-War

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as front-runners in the race to sign Ghanaian international Kudus Mohammed, but their latest bid has been rejected by West Ham United, prompting suggestions that the North London club may explore alternative options.

The West Ham playmaker, widely regarded as a “world-class” talent, played a pivotal role in the Hammers’ run to the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals last season, before they were knocked out by eventual champions Bayer Leverkusen.

However, Kudus has found it difficult to replicate that blistering form in the current campaign, which has been disrupted by a lengthy suspension. Despite that, he has registered eight goal involvements across 33 appearances in all competitions.

The 23-year-old has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Saudi Pro League outfit Al Nassr, in addition to Tottenham.

According to UK-based radio station talkSPORT, Spurs recently submitted a formal bid worth £50 million, which has since been turned down by West Ham. The Hammers are reportedly unwilling to negotiate below their £85 million valuation of the Ghanaian star.

Tottenham are expected to return with an improved offer but may shift their focus to Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze if no breakthrough is made in the coming days.

Kudus is currently under contract with West Ham until the summer of 2028, with the club holding an option to extend for a further year
