Fourteen-year-old George Abeka Mensah, a pupil of Besease Methodist Junior High School, has been honoured as the Best Referee of the Tournament at the GFA Elite U-15 Boys Colts Championship.

George’s calmness, confidence and fairness on the pitch won him the admiration of players, coaches and spectators alike. Despite his young age, he displayed remarkable maturity, consistency and a strong understanding of the laws of the game, setting a fine example for his peers.

His recognition not only highlights the rising standard of officiating at grassroots level but also reflects the Ghana Football Association’s commitment to nurturing young refereeing talent alongside players. George’s success story is expected to inspire many other youngsters who aspire to take up refereeing as a career in football.
