Black Queens to Face Tanzania as CAF Reschedules 2026 Women’s AFCON to July–August

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially rescheduled the next edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, with the tournament now set to take place from 25 July to 16 August 2026.

The revised dates were confirmed as part of CAF’s efforts to align the continental competition with the international football calendar and allow participating nations ample time to prepare their squads for Africa’s premier women’s football tournament.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, will continue with their scheduled activities at the ongoing Pink Ladies Cup. The team is expected to play their final match of the competition against Tanzania Women’s National Football Team tomorrow.

The encounter will mark the end of the Queens’ participation in the invitational tournament, which has served as part of their preparations and assessment programme for upcoming international assignments.

Following the match, the technical team is expected to dissolve the training camp, allowing players to return to their respective clubs both locally and abroad to continue with their domestic league commitments.

The Pink Ladies Cup has provided the coaching staff with an opportunity to evaluate player performance, test tactical systems and integrate new talents into the squad as the team begins its long-term preparations towards the rescheduled continental showpiece.

The Black Queens are expected to regroup later in the year for further training camps and international friendlies as they intensify preparations ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
